I got this email along with another fundraiser email:
The State Employees Association of North Carolina (SEANC) is hosting a Town Hall Meeting on Health Care Reform next WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 19, 6:30-8 p.m. at the Teamsters Union Hall (Sandy Ridge Road & I-40) Greensboro.
The meeting is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. It will give state employees, retirees and other community members the opportunity to ask questions to elected officials, and medical and business professionals about how the current debate over health care reform will impact people in N.C.
Please help spread the word about this event.
For more information about the Town Hall Meeting, contact Heather Welborn at (704) 609-5906 or hwelborn@seanc.org.
I am going to tell the Dems how people like Angry mouse feel. I am also pissed at how weak my Dems are. And how secretive the backroom dealing is.
Obama won NC VA OH FL NM NV IN all supposed RED states with the promise of change. I still believe he can get it to us. However, I would feel a lot more confident in the current health care mess if everything wasn't so damn secret.
Everything Obama promised he would change is exactly what is going on right now. What happened to putting the health care deal making on T.V. instead of having Baucus, in his usual back room deal-making ways, screw us over? How in the hell do you allow the Republican Party to call a sitting President a non-citizen and still make deals with them? How in the hell do you allow a party to say "Obama's out to kill your Grandma" and not call them out on this shit? I was one who was a little apprehensive in the summer of blood when Hillary was killing Obama and he was just sitting back getting spanked. I hold out hope that he is using the same strategy to win the current battle. But man, my party is not helping at all. I am going to raise hell for my side of this mess.
